Making Our Way to Mukwonago, WI

After leaving Custer, South Dakota, Karla and I spent a couple hours at the Crazy Horse Monument.  From there we traveled to Murdo, South Dakota and boon docked for the night.  We did manage some activity before the day was through.  Saturday night we boon docked at Stensland Creamery (Harvest Host) in Larchwood, Iowa (pics attached).  A working dairy farm with a well known brand of ice cream, cheese, milk and other dairy products.  We spent the evening walking around the vast farm.

After nights in Wells, MN (Boondockers Welcome bottom pic) and Oakdale WI, we arrived in Mukwonago, WI this afternoon where we will spend a few days with Barb and Jerry (Sedona friends and neighbors).  Barb and Jerry Summer in WI (on Eagle Lake) and winter in Sedona.  As many of you know, we will be here for Karla's birthday on June 2nd.  Should be fun!

Karla is doing well and says she is having a lot of fun.  I am so thankful for that.  We hope to see each of

you soon.  And as always, coming to a driveway near you.  Take care!

Made it to Mount Rushmore

After boon docking in Bozeman, MT Monday night, Karla and I traveled to the Sage Ridge Alpaca Farm (Harvest Host) near Buffalo, WY for the night.  We spent the evening touring the farm and meeting many of its’ residents.  Several horses, Seven outside dogs, a few pigs, a flock of Peacocks, and hundreds of Alpacas scattered over 700 acres.  Linda, the farm owner/operator was very accommodating.  This morning the Peacocks made themselves known at 4:30am.  So we arose early and perused Linda's Alpaca fiber shop before hitting the road to Mount Rushmore.

It was a challenging day of driving, however, we arrived at Mount Rushmore late afternoon.  We toured the park, hiked the path, and settled in for the night.  We plan to stay here a couple of days then continue to make our way east.

Karla and I are thankful and enjoying the time we have together.

We hope to see you soon.  And as always, coming to a driveway near you.  Take care!

Last Day at Seeley Lake, Montana

Good Afternoon!  Karla and I are having an incredible time at Seeley Lake.  Mike and Suzie are wonderful people and very gracious hosts.  We greatly appreciate their hospitality and friendship.  While the temperatures have been a bit cool, we spent the last couple days hiking, boating, and enjoying great company and awesome scenery.  Last night we had dinner at the Double Arrow lodge where we feasted on an appetizer of Rattlesnake and Rabbit sausage.  Quite tasty!

Tomorrow we head east with no particular destination in mind.  By Wednesday, we plan to be at Mount Rushmore then onto Wisconsin to "hang" with Barb and Jerry (Neighbors and friends from Sedona).  Karla is doing well and thriving with all the activity.  We make ample time for rest and relaxation along our way.

Karla and I look forward to seeing each and everyone of you soon.  I hope this post finds you well. And as always, (we are) coming to a driveway near you.  Take care!

Waiting It Out in Blackfoot Idaho

Hello All!  After a fun and restful afternoon in the Salt Lake City area, we boon docked at Salt Fire Brewery (pics attached).  Karla and I enjoyed the beverage options they had to offer. Specifically, Karla discovered their Blackberry Mint Soda (made on premises of course).  I am sure we will be online ordering more of that soon.  A bit of a snag today, however.  On our way towards Montana, we have encountered severe winds and blinding dust storms and therefore decided to "wait it out" in Blackfoot Idaho where I am making this post.

I hope this blog post finds you well.  Please stay tuned for additional entries.  Karla and I look forward to seeing each and everyone of you soon.  And as always, (we are) coming to a driveway near you.  Take care! ✌

Traveling Back East for Summer

Good evening All.  It has been a few months since our last entry.  However, Karla and I loaded RVMakes3 and embarked on our 3 week

journey back east for the summer.  Leaving yesterday (Sunday), we are taking a long route.  Last night we made it to Four Corners and boon docked (Harvest Host) for the night (sunset pic attached).  Today we traveled to Arches National Park (Moab, UT) and spent the afternoon hiking many of the trails taking in the warm temperatures and incredible scenery (pics attached).  We plan to stay in Moab for the next couple of days hiking, biking, and relaxing.  Salt Lake City is next and then eventually Seeley Lake, Montana to visit Sedona friends.

I hope this blog post finds you well.  Please stay tuned for additional entries.  Karla and I look forward to seeing each and everyone of you soon.  And as always, (we are) coming to a driveway near you.  Take care!
