"Hangin" in Cajun Country

Hi All.  We spent the last couple days making our way west through Mississippi and Louisiana.  After a quick night stay at Buccaneer State park (on the beach) in Waveland MS, we arrived if Lafayette, LA this evening.  Specifically, we are Harvest Hosting at Wildcat Brothers Distillery (at Gator Cove).  We spent the late afternoon resting a bit and the evening enjoying the local spirits and food at the Distillery.  After the "regulars" left, we stayed behind with the owner and few staff.  Major Handy showed up for a private "Jam" session.  (Major Handy) Born and raised in the heart of Creole Country in south Louisiana, Major Handy has been generously serving up  his own original recipe of Hot Blues, Zydeco and R&B to audiences around the world for over 5 decades.  He was joined by Erwan Anglo who plays jazz harmonica.  We had a great time hanging out with them and the other Cajun and Creole staff.

Karla and I travel to Katy Texas tomorrow where we plan to Harvest Host at BattleHops Brewing.  Karla is doing well and we look forward to seeing each and everyone of you soon.  And (as always) we are coming to a driveway near you!  Take care.  Go Bengals!

Great Time at Gulf Shores

Good Evening All.  Karla and I spent the last three days in Gulf Shores biking around the shore and through the wetland pathways, hiking the many trails, enjoying time at the beautiful white sand beach, and planning our route west.  Tomorrow, after packing up RVMakes3, we travel west where we plan to "bunk" at Buccaneer State Park in Mississippi (for one night).  We plan to continue west arriving in San Antonio, Texas on Sunday.  Details in the next blog post!

I hope this blog post finds you well.  Karla and I look forward to seeing each and everyone of you soon.  And as always, (we are) coming to a driveway near you.  Stay tuned.

RVMakes3 Departs for AZ

Good Evening All.  Karla and I are on our way back to Sedona, AZ for the winter.  From Cincinnati, we decided to head south to Gulf Shores, AL, visiting sister Susan and John along the way in Montgomery, AL.  We had a nice time catching up with them over dinner last night (Thanks for dinner Sue!).

Tonight, we arrived at Gulf Shores State Park.  Gulf Shores State Park is a 6500 acre public recreation area on the Gulf of Mexico in the city of Gulf Shores.  After an evening stroll around the area and a nice dinner in RVMakes3, we settled in for the night.  We are looking forward to spending the next several days biking and hiking the vast area, while also getting ample relaxation and beach time.

We plan to travel west through Texas from here.  Please stay tuned as there will be many additional posts.  Karla is thriving and doing well and we look forward to seeing each and everyone of you soon.  And as always, (we are) coming to a driveway near you.  Go Bengals!
