Soaked Up the Sun in Tucson, AZ - Now at Home in Sedona

Good Evening.  We arrived in Tucson, AZ Saturday afternoon.  We spent the last few days enjoying the beautiful sunshine, biking the trail system that spreads throughout the Tucson area, cooling off at the pool, and relaxing around RVMakes3.  Monday, Karla and I biked 10 miles into downtown Tucson to check out the "scene", had lunch at a local establishment, then peddled the 10 miles back to RVMakes3.  Karla was a real trooper.....completing the ride without issue.  Her effort and desire for life is inspiring😎.

This evening we arrived in Sedona completing another fun and comfortable 3 week trip that could not be possible without RVMakes3.  We look forward to our next RVMakes3 adventure scheduled for January/February.  In the meantime, we plan to spend the winter in Sedona hiking, golfing, enjoying the sunshine, and making the most of our time together. Please visit when you can.

I hope this blog post finds you well.  And as always, (we are) coming to a driveway near you!

Checking in from Las Cruces

Hi All.  Wednesday, Karla and I stayed at South Llamos River State Park in Junction, Texas.  We arrived mid-afternoon and spent the rest of the daylight hours walking around the scenic park and enjoying the nice weather.  While exiting RVMakes3 we encountered a 9 Banded Armadillo outside our stoop.  The 9 banded armadillo is a solitary, mainly nocturnal animal, found in many kinds of habitats, from mature and secondary rainforests to grassland and dry scrub. It is an insectivore, feeding chiefly on antstermites, and other small invertebrates. The armadillo can jump 3–4 ft. straight in the air if sufficiently frightened, making it a particular danger on roads.  It is the state small mammal of Texas.  It lingered for about 10 minutes and then moved along.

Yesterday we traveled to Fort Stockton, Texas where we are boon-docked at The Old 76 (Harvest Host) for the night.  The Old 76 is a beer garden that caters to locals throughout Fort Stockton.  Today we arrived in Las Cruces, NM.  It was an incredibly windy and difficult drive.  Tonight we are boon-docking at the New Mexico State University Golf Course (Harvest Host).  We settled in about 4pm local time and spent some time walking and exploring the area.  Karla was feeling discomfort in her chest so we retreated to RVMakes3 for the evening.

Tomorrow we continue our journey west with the plan of settling in Tucson, AZ by late afternoon.  I hope this blog post finds you well.  Karla and I look forward to seeing each and everyone of you soon.  And as always, (we are) coming to a driveway near you.  Stay tuned.

San Antonio - The City of Authenticity!

Hi Everyone!  I hope this blog post finds you well.  Following our visit to Lafayette, LA, very interesting evening at the Wildcat Brothers Distillery, and a quick stop at Buc-ee's, Karla and I ventured towards Katy, TX and specifically Battlehops Brewing where we boon-docked for the night.  Battlehops Brewing combines beer, board games, and so much more!  They brew small-batch beers, sodas, and coffee in house and serve burgers, grilled cheese, hot dogs, and pretzels. Their board game library has 500+ titles ranging from kids and classic games to heavy strategy games.  Karla and I spent the evening playing the game "Fact or Crap", having dinner, and watching the World Series (game 2).

We are now in San Antonio, TX where we spent the last couple days biking some of the various bike paths, hanging at the pool a bit, and touring the downtown area.  Today we perused the San Antonio River Walk and toured The Alamo.  Tomorrow we travel west to Junction, TX. on our way to Sedona, AZ  We look forward to seeing each and everyone of you soon.  And as always (we are) coming to a driveway near you.  Take care!
