Boondocking - First Attempt in RV Makes 3!

While waiting for additional parts for "RV Makes 3" minor repairs, Karla and I decided to attempt our first boondocking trip (no hookups for electric, water, or sewage).  We traveled about 300 miles to Indiana Dunes National Park for a couple days.  Had a great time hiking and checking out Lake Michigan.

We learned we can be comfortably self sufficient about 3 days with our 50 gallon on-board fresh water tank.....good to know prior to embarking on a national trip.  We also learned that not all camp sites are optimal for our type of Motorhome.....also good to know.

Karla and I thoroughly enjoyed our short Indiana Dunes adventure and treasure our time we have together!  Hope to see you soon.....Coming to a driveway near you!

  1. Sounds like you've learned some important things on this trip. I'd never heard of Indiana Dunes. Looks beautiful.
