Back to Sedona Tomorrow

Hello All!  Yesterday we drove from the Romona Valley, CA over the mountains to the Chiriaco Summit where we boon docked (Harvest Host) for the night (pics attached).  While the distance was only 130 miles it took several hours to navigate the mountainous "switch-backs".

The Chiriaco Summit was a very nice place to follow the Bengals game and rest for the evening.  Today we arrived in Buckeye,AZ and are boon docking (Harvest Host) at the Sundance Golf Club.  Karla and I had a great afternoon walking (several miles) the area and and settling in for a nice dinner this evening.  Tomorrow we plan to eventually arrive home in Sedona.  We had an awesome and comfortable 2 week trip that could not be possible without RVMakes3.  We look forward to our next adventures very soon.

I hope this blog post finds you well.  Karla and I look forward to seeing each and everyone of you soon.  And as always, (we are) coming to a driveway near you.  Take care!  Go Bengals!

Back to Original Plan - Hatfield Creek Winery

Karla and I are heading back to Sedona.  The good news is we were able to resolve the RVMakes3 toilet issue this morning.  So we are moving forward as originally planned.  Tonight we are boondocking (Harvest Host) at Hatfield Creek Winery in the Ramona Valley.......an AVA (American Viticultural Area).  This is a federally recognized wine producing area.  We spent the evening watching the sunset and preparing a delicious dinner in RVMkaes3.  Tomorrow we continue our journey back to Sedona.  We plan to boondock along the way.  Please stay tuned to the Blog.

Winding Down in San Clemente, CA

Karla and I are winding down in San Clemente, CA.  Four days of solid weather filled with hiking and biking along the beach, good food, and ample rest.  Karla attempted to extend our stay a couple days but there is no availability this weekend.  So, tomorrow we head back towards Sedona.

Unfortunately, the toilet issue surfaced again making boondocking more challenging, so we are taking a shorter return route.  Prior to this trip, RVMakes3 service was scheduled for the week of January 31st.  Now we have a couple more (significant) items on that list. We should be back in Sedona by Sunday.

Check out the pics attached.  RVMakes3 "spot" is on a bluff overlooking the ocean.....a 2 minute walk down to the beach.  We had big fun making the most of our time together.  We look forward to seeing all of you soon.

Disaster Averted - Desert Hot Springs, CA

What a last couple days.  We had lunch with our friends Kristen and Steve (on Friday) who were visiting in La Quinta, Ca (pic attached).  Had a great time catching up and sharing our mutual latest adventures.  Always fun to "hang" with them.  From there, we headed to Desert Hot Springs for a couple of days.  We decided to lay low on Saturday, watch the Bengals win, and relax a bit.  Saturday evening we encountered an issue with RVMakes3 (the toilet).  If we could not resolve in the morning we would have to "turn back".  Good news is, after a Customer Service call and online research, we were able to get "things" back on line.  Disaster Averted......at least for now!

We traveled over the Sana Rosa Mountains this afternoon to our destination (Harvest Host) this evening.....Sierra Roble Winery.  What a cool place.  We spent the evening walking the grounds, meeting other Harvest Host-ers, and sampling really good wine. The sunset pics attached are incredible.  We plan to travel to San Clemente beach tomorrow where we will stay for several days.  We look forward to the continued adventure,

the sunshine and cool breeze of the beach.  I hope this blog post finds you well.  Karla and I look forward to seeing each and everyone of you soon.  And as always, (we are) coming to a driveway near you.  Take care!  Go Bengals!

"Off the Grid" in Joshua Tree National Park

After a full day of driving in RVMakes3, Karla and I arrived at Joshua Tree National Park just in time to settle in before nightfall.  We spent the last couple days hiking the trails through the huge rock formations and Joshua Trees and biking a bit around the park.  We had a great time boondocking "off the grid" (no cell phone or internet service).

The pics attached do not appropriately illustrate the size of the giant rock formations or the vastness of the landscape.  Skull rock (see pic with Karla) is one of the many popular attractions.  Karla is doing well and enjoying the activity and sunshine.

Today we traveled to Palm Springs and plan to be here for the next couple days.  Please stay tuned.  We hope to see you soon.  And as always, coming to a driveway near you.  Take care!

Heading West

It has been a while since the last blog update.  Following our most recent CT Scans and Physician meetings in Ohio, Karla and I spent the holidays relaxing in Sedona.  Karla's sister Barb joined us for the Christmas weekend.  While the weather was not favorable we had nice time anyway.  We are now back on the road in RVMakes3.....heading west.  Tonight we are boondocking at Wickenburg Country Club (AZ).  This is our first time utilizing our Harvest Host membership (Thanks Brandon!).  This is a great place to stop, relax, and rest for the night (pics attached).  In the 70 degree temperatures, Karla and I took a long walk around the area and will be dining in the restaurant later this evening.  Tomorrow we travel to Joshua Tree National Park.  Looking forward to a couple days a good hiking and biking in the sunshine.  Stay safe All.  And remember, Coming to a Driveway Near You (eventually)😉
