Nick of Time Escape - And now back home in Sedona!

Good Evening Everyone!  On Thursday Karla and I departed Carpinteria, CA and headed for the San Bernardino mountains.  We knew we had to be on the east side of the mountains to elude the Southern California blizzard....their worst winter storm in 30 years.  It was a very long day of driving but we arrived at the Chiriaco Summit at nightfall on Thursday, just east of the San Bernardino mountains, where we boon-docked for the night.  The storm slammed Southern California Friday morning with blizzard condition throughout the entire region.

On Friday, we traveled into Arizona and boon-docked at Wickenburg Country Club.  This is a restful and fun Harvest Host location providing a nice restaurant with live entertainment.  Karla and I spent Saturday taking in the Cincinnati Reds Spring Training Opening Day game (vs. Cleveland Guardians).  Beautiful sunshine and warm temperatures made for a perfect day.

Today we arrived home in Sedona capping a fun and exciting excursion that was not possible without RVMakes3.  We look forward to our next adventure.....maybe sometime in April.

I hope this blog post finds you well.  Karla and I look forward to seeing each and everyone of you soon.  And as always, (we are) coming to a driveway near you.  Take Care!

  1. I was wondering if you got caught in that snowstorm. Glad you all got out of there in time and made it home safely.
